The Best Bets page analyses all matches in the three oval ball codes, namely AFL, Super Rugby and the NRL, and ranks the matches on the basis of betting margin variable.  A betting margin is defined as the expected return from a bet under the assumption (1) that OvalBallOdds match point prediction is an accurate reflection of the likely match outcome and (2) one is able to place a bet at the stated market odds.  Users can choose to display the margin ranked matches for either bets to beat the line or bets to win the match.  Please note that bets to win the match do not indicate the team most likely to win the match but rather suggests bets with the most value.  The suggested bet may recommend a value bet on a team that is not the favourite to win the match.
